We saw this young lady's story in our local newspaper, she is a mother of 4 young children living in May Pen, Jamaica.
She and her children all slept on 1 bed and said she often goes to bed with no food so that her children can eat. In her story, she was asking for help as none of the 'baby fathers' would step up and provide.
It's nobody's fault that she has problems but does that mean she doesn't deserve to be helped?
From her story, I could see that she is trying so we reached out to her and gave her a bed (donated by a friend) and a month's supply of groceries. She was very grateful. She is now raising chickens and helping herself better.
We all need a little compassion sometimes. It felt right to help her.
